Source Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you … Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger.Even though Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger won’t debut on Freeform until winter 2018, filming has been underway in New Orleans for a couple of weeks now. We’re dying to see what its two stars, Aubrey Joseph (The Night Of) and Olivia Holt (Disney’s Kickin’ It), will look like in their Cloak and Dagger costumes, but with the long wait ahead, I wouldn’t expect those to be unveiled anytime soon.
Cloak and Dagger are bottom-tier comic book heroes… They’re awful. They’re the D.A.R.E. cops of Marvel because they’re drug busters. Don’t bother looking into them any further or you’ll fall asleep.
The point of this blog is not to bash the worst superheros ever. This is all about the girl, but more than that it’s about the costume. It defies physics and is beautifully outrageous. The illustrators knew they had to make drug busting magicians cool so they distracted from the awful content with some classic sex appeal. Look at their magnificent work:
That’s the one. There are a few variations but this is it. That’s the most outrageous female costume out there. Basically covers every inch of her body except the good stuff. Bravo you marvel nerds, you really didn’t hold back with your weird fantasies. I know we don’t hold physics in high regard while reading comics but c’mon, you’ve got to admit her front not blowing open is less believable than Hulk being able to keep pants on.
That was my first thought when they announced the new tv series. How are they going to pull off this costume in a way that will keep the dozens of Dagger fans happy? Well now I see who they cast to fit into this costume. Beautiful girl, but a little more anatomically reasonable than the comic. The costume department is overjoyed while 13 year old boys everywhere weep.
